I've heard so many good things about using coconut oil and jojoba oil for a hair mask, so I think I'm finally going to order some organic jojoba oil and organic extra virgin coconut oil to try. But I was just wondering if one is significantly better or more effective than the other? I know it depends, I just wasn't sure if there was a clear winner between the two.
Also, this might sound like a dumb question, but I heard that jojoba oil was the closest to human sebum. Does this mean that if I use it on my scalp or my skin, that my oil glands will compensate by producing less oil? Because I definitely don't want that!
Thanks in advance! :)

Have you tried Argan Oil? Since discovering it, I don't have to spend money on a bunch of conditioners, etc. anymore...and I used to spend a lot. With the Argan Oil, I just put a small dot in the palm of my hands, rub them together and then run my them through my hair (not scalp) . makes my long hair shiny and smoother...and if I use a curling iron, the curls are shiny and gorgeous. I got it at Sally...I didn't buy the spray bottle, I got the bottle that kind of pours out through a tiny opening. A tiny dot goes a looooong way and you don't want to be greasy.

Answer
For my hair coconut oil works great, especially for treating split ends. I always use it on dry hair and leave it for at least 30 minutes. I know argan oil is very good too, thought I personally choose coconut oil. But I think it depends on the hair type you have.
