What is the best home remedy organic...?

JIM

that has multiple benefits such as apple cider vinegar has like tons of benefits like its a detox, it fights acne, it helps you lose weight and so on. Anything like that or coconut oil that I can use for acne, and better skin complextion and so on.

Answer
The less products you use, the better for your skin. Treat your face like your skin. Use Bath wash like Suave Bath & Body Gel, use a washcloth. Treat your face like the rest of your body, take a shower everyday or wash your face everyday.

The secret is keeping your face clean and oil-free.

Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you're actually spreading it around. Example: ProActiv contains a known carcinogen, at a percentage known to promote skin cancer.

IF A PRODUCT IS LABELED "ALL NATURAL" OR "ORGANIC," IT'S PROBABLY HYPOALLERGENIC.False
Remember, poison ivy is all natural, too! But you probably don't want it on your skin. It is very possible to have an allergic reaction, or other irritation, from products labeled "all natural" or "organic." For example, lanolin, from sheep's wool, is a common natural ingredient in some moisturizers that sometimes causes allergic reactions.
http://www.fda.gov/Cosmetics/ProductandIngredientSafety/ProductInformation/ucm203078.htm

Do you want multiple benefits? Increase your fresh fruits & vegetables 3-5 servings per day, you'll get all your benefits 100% and decrease your food intake that is fattening for lose weight & exercise more.

do cuts that are sort of deep close up?

ME N ME!

so my cat scratched me a few weeks ago like i think 2 weeks and anyways it wasn't deep enough to need stitches but still it bleed and now it itchs so i think its healing but the cuts wont close!! and the skin around the cuts peeling off or something. you could see the marks clearly so will it close up completely soon?

Answer
You might want to try making a salve out of Virgin Coconut Oil Epsom Salt in it, to put on it:

"Coconut (Cocos nucifera)"
- The Tree of Life
- Coconut In Traditional Medicine
- Coconut In Modern Medicine
> Coconut Oil
http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org

You *might* want to try soaking it in some water with Epsom Salt dissolved in it.

Scroll Down to the bottom of this web-page & read the Cautions there, though, because it warns that using water might be contraindicated:

"Epsom Salt"
- Soothing to Sore Muscles in the Bath
- Toxic to the Kidneys If Taken Internally
http://www.naturalstresscare.org/EpsomSalt.aspx

"Epsom Salt Uses & Benefits"
http://www.saltworks.us/salt_info/epsom-uses-benefits.asp

Since Coconut Oil is quite good at killing various types of infection, you may want to use it alone, or, a salve with Epsom Salt added to Coconut Oil (equal parts of each), in order to keep from getting your wound wet, since it sounds like it might be not healing right already, from your description. . . . Epsom Salt is good for infections, too.

(I used this salve on cacti stickers in my skin . . . it was callousing over them, so I pulled the callous off & applied the salve. A day or so later it had another covering on it, but when I pulled that off, the stickers came out, too! Then it healed perfectly, and in a short time.)

Keep the area dry, & allow the air to get at it. Plastic bandages are not good because they keep the sin moist & do not allow air to freely 'bathe' the wound. If the cut is deep you might want to use a butterfly bandage to hold the sides together, though.

can you use coconut oil as a substitute for vegetable oil when making brownies?

C G

Its all I have, but I love coconuts!

Answer
I bake with coconut oil all the time and it is yummy! If it's pure coconut oil, it will even add a slightly nutty taste.

If it's the real thing, you'll need to heat it up just a tad first, because coconut oil is solid at room temp.

Substitute for coconut oil using coconut water?

M M

I'm making something that calls for coconut oil. I have coconut water and common household baking things. Is there anyway to use these to make a good substitute for coconut oil?
I'm concocting a couple different things (some aren't even foods) and I need an all purpose substitute.
Vegetable oil? (keep in mind the consistency of coconut oil) I can't use peanut oil my sister has an allergy.

Answer
No. Coconut water is completely different and contains zero coconut oil. You might as well be using ice tea.

Vegetable oil is fine. Coconut oil has a high saturated fat content and gives your food a thicker consistency and adds an unique aroma to the dish. However, using vegetable oil or butter is not going to ruin it.

Coconut oil is not that hard to find these days. Have you looked for it at your local grocer? It usually comes in a large jar about the size of a large jar of pasta sauce.

Coconut oil for acne?

trini4life

Has anyone tried this?what were the results?

Answer
I've been using all-natural coconut oil for my acne for about three months now. It's amazing! It helps keep my skin moisturized without causing breakouts. I always avoided using lotions on my face because they made my acne worse, but now I use coconut oil as a moisturizer every morning and it helps keep my skin clear. Here's an article I wrote about my experience with coconut oil and how it helped with my acne: http://alisharenee.hubpages.com/hub/Coconut-Oil-Natural-Acne-Remedy

Good luck!

Is coconut oil good for your face to stop aging and/or make skin smoother (on your face)?

Strawberri

Also, could it potentially clog pores and cause acne? I'm just worried about it because it seems thicker than other oils I have used and I used to have a moderate acne problem. I've heard that it's a really good natural oil and I use it on my legs but I just wanted to hear other people's opinions! Thanks in advance! :)

Answer
**Self massage with essential oils like coconut, almond, olive, & jojoba works wonders. Thicker oils have been diluted 50/50 successfully with thinner essental oils like grape seed.
They have been used by skin specialists to treat acne prone skins as they do not clog, cause breakouts, and they lessen skin's production of oil. They are great for anti aging as they nourish and feed skin many beneficial and health promoting nutrients. I found a forward and back motion using finger tips and front and sides of fingers, depending where on face you massage, is best (a circular one will be less effective).
Quickly gets rid of all blemishes in a matter of days. If do quite vigorously it exercises and tones face muscles and thus counteracts their weakening which leads to sagging and in turn results in many of our wrinkles and lines and face aging. Best to tighten facial skin first by opening mouth about 1", pulling lips firmly back against teeth, and protruding chin.
Vigorous massage is best for quickly smoothing, firming and tightening and can quickly give you a healthy, flawless, glowing skin. You will be amazed at it´s effectiveness. Oils are perfect, natural and safe moisturizers. Many moisturizing and other products are seriously skin harming, skin aging and do cause acne and have been pulled from some markets because of that and cancer concerns.(confirm with a Google). Oils quickly absorb into skin with vigorous massage so you do not remove. Simply splash face with water and tissue dry.
Many have benefited from treatment - see my many other answers. I have testimonials from happy users

why is coconut oil used as the heating bath for melting point determination of organic compounds?

ryokawa619

please...somebody help me.... I'm left with only two days to answer the question...

Answer
It has three key properties that make it useful for melting point determination of organic compounds.

1. it is clear and you can see the M.Pt tube through it. It stays pretty clear on heating.
2. it can be heated to around 250C without boiling which is high enough to melt most organic compounds.
3. it does not catch fire when heated unless heated beyond the top recommended temperature.

i want know more about virgin coconut oil.?

Answer
Refined Coconut Oil

Most commercial grade coconut oils are made from copra. Copra is basically the dried kernel (meat) of the coconut. It can be made by: smoke drying, sun drying, or kiln drying , or derivatives or a combination of these three. If standard copra is used as a starting material, the unrefined coconut oil extracted from copra is not suitable for consumption and must be purified, that is refined. This is because the way most copra is dried is not sanitary. The standard end product made from copra is RBD coconut oil. RBD stands for refined, bleached, and deodorized. High heat is used to deodorize the oil, and the oil is typically filtered through (bleaching) clays to remove impurities. Sodium hydroxide is generally used to remove free fatty acids and prolong shelf life. This is the most common way to mass-produce coconut oil. The older way of producing refined coconut oil was through physical/mechanical refining (see Tropical Traditions Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil.). More modern methods also use chemical solvents to extract all the oil from the copra for higher yields.

RBD oil is also sometimes hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated. This happens mostly in tropical climates, since the natural melting point of coconut oil is about 76 degrees F, and already naturally a solid in most colder climates. Since coconut oil is mostly saturated, there is little unsaturated oil left to hydrogenate. Hydrogenated oils contain trans fatty acids.

Virgin Coconut Oil

Virgin Coconut Oil can only be achieved by using fresh coconut meat or what is called non-copra. Chemicals and high heating are not used in further refining, since the natural, pure coconut oil is very stable with a shelf life of several years. There are currently two main processes of manufacturing Virgin Coconut Oil:

1. Quick drying of fresh coconut meat which is then used to press out the oil. Using this method, minimal heat is used to quick dry the coconut meat, and the oil is then pressed out via mechanical means.

2. Wet-milling. With this method the oil is extracted from fresh coconut meat without drying first. "Coconut milk" is expressed first by pressing. The oil is then further separated from the water. Methods which can be used to separate the oil from the water include boiling, fermentation, refrigeration, enzymes and mechanical centrifuge.

The method we use at Mt. Banahaw Health Products Corp. in the Philippines is the traditional fermentation method. The coconut milk expressed from the freshly harvested coconuts is fermented for 24-36 hours. During this time, the water separates from the oil. The oil is then slightly heated (less than boiling temperatures) for a short time (10-15 minutes) to remove moisture, and then filtered. The result is a clear coconut oil that retains the distinct scent and taste of coconuts. This is a traditional method of coconut oil extraction that has been used in the Philippines for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Laboratory tests show that this is a very high quality coconut oil, with the lauric acid content being 50 to 57%. This oil is not mass produced, but made by hand just as it has been done for hundreds of years. Our coconuts are certified organic according to strict USDA standards. In addition, all of our coconuts are hand-picked within 24 hours of harvest. Only those nuts that produce the highest quality coconut oil are chosen, while the rest of the crop is sold to copra dealers. Because of our extremely selective procedure for selecting the coconuts, we pay a higher price to the farmer. Almost all other virgin coconut oils on the market are mass-produced and do not take this kind of attention to detail that begins with choosing the right nuts. Also, the coconuts used to make our Virgin Coconut Oil are grown in very rural areas, generally far away from metropolitan areas. Since coconut trees grow just about everywhere in the Philippines, most coconut oils on the market are harvested from trees in metropolitan areas, because there is less cost to transport them to the place of manufacture. Many of our producers are in areas so remote, that if they did not use their coconuts to produce Virgin Coconut oil for us, no one would buy their coconuts because it would cost too much to transport them to manufacturing plants.

Delivering Virgin Coconut Oil to the Mt. Banahaw warehouse in 5-gallon pails. Many of our producers live in rural areas in coconut-producing communities where no roads exist, and draft animals like the water buffalo are used.

Bringing in young coconuts from the farm and loaded onto a jeepney to be transported to the market.

I love Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil, it is the best I have tried, and I will continue to use this oil forever. Kelly - Lander, WY

One of the main differences between Virgin Coconut oil and refined coconut oils is the scent and taste. All Virgin Coconut Oils retain the fresh scent and taste of coconuts, whereas the copra-based refined coconut oils have a bland taste due to the refining process. Some grades of refined copra-based oils are also now sold that have a coconut flavor, but are usually bitter and have a burnt taste to it. They are a form of "crude coconut oil" that has not undergone all of the deodorizing process, and they have a shorter shelf-life.

What is "Extra Virgin Coconut Oil?"

Some retailers and manufacturers of Virgin Coconut Oils, referring to one of the processes mentioned above, call their coconut oil "Extra Virgin Coconut Oil." But there are no other processes used to make coconut oil other than the ones mentioned above, so this classification is simply arbitrary. There is no official classification or difference between "virgin" and "extra virgin" as there is in the olive oil industry, since the two oils are completely different in fatty acid composition, harvesting procedures, and terminology.

Virgin Coconut Oil and Heat

There have been many claims made recently on the Internet that there are Virgin Coconut oils in the market that are processed without heat, and that these coconut oils are somehow superior to coconut oils that use some heat in the processing. Do these claims have any merit? Mt. Banahaw Health Products and Tropical Traditions has thoroughly researched this topic, and following are the results.

Some are claiming that there are "raw" Virgin Coconut oils that never see heat at temperatures above a certain temperature (usually slightly over 100 degrees F.) and therefore contain beneficial enzymes. However, unless one is purchasing a coconut oil that has been transported from the tropics in refrigerated containers, and is delivered to you in refrigerated delivery trucks, this is just simply not possible. To read our full explanation on why one does not want enzymes in their coconut oil anyway, see our full explanation here.

Mt. Banahaw Healthy Products Corp. was the first company to export "Virgin Coconut Oil" from the Philippines, using the traditional fermentation method as described above. Since those early days, many other producers have now entered into the local market in the Philippines with a variety of different "Virgin Coconut Oils" produced in many different ways. So in 2005 Professor Vermont P. Dia of the University of the Philippines conducted a study with some of his graduate students to analyze various Virgin Coconut Oils produced using different methods. Their results were published in December 2005, in The Philippine Agricultural Scientist, Vol. 88 No. 4, pages 462-475. The title of the article is "Comparative Physiochemical Characteristics of Virgin Coconut Oil." The results of this study have become the standard for Virgin Coconut Oil quality in the Philippines, and were published and implemented by both BFAD (Bureau of Food and Drugs) and PNS (Philippine National Standards).

They produced three batches of Virgin Coconut Oil in their laboratory using three different methods, and also analyzed six different commercial brands of Virgin Coconut Oil in the Philippines. The three batches they produced in their laboratory were all produced with little or no heat, some using refrigeration and never going above 47 degrees Celsius (less than 117 degrees F.) The values that were tested in all these Virgin Coconuts oils were: melting point, gravity, saponification, iodine, free fatty acid (FFA), peroxide value, moisture content, fatty acid composition, tocopherols, and total phenolic content. Their results found that: "while the VCOs produced by the three methods and using different varieties had some differences in chemical and quality properties, these differences may not be large enough to significantly affect the overall quality of the VCO. Further, their levels are still within the CODEX standards for coconut oil." In the 6 commercial brands they tested (where it is routinely assumed today that "no heat" is better), they found some had values that exceeded the limits of standards in areas like moisture content and FFA. The study was concluded by stating: "The effect of higher temperature (>50 C) during processing on the quality of VCO is likewise important to determine and is being investigated."

Mt. Banahaw Health Products Corp.'s Virgin Coconut Oil is not sold in the local Philippine market, as it is produced exclusively for Tropical Traditions, so we decided to send a sample to Professor Dia to analyze. We already knew that our VCO consistently tested well within standards for moisture and FFA (our moisture levels, for example, have ranged from 0.06 to 0.08 percent in 2006, where industry standards for refined coconut oils are .10%), but we had never tested for phenolic acid, an antioxidant usually associated with products like Green Tea and Olive Oil. Some have theorized that it is the polyphenols in Virgin Coconut Oil that differentiate its quality from regular refined coconut oil, where polyphenols are generally missing. The three samples Professor Dia and his students produced in the laboratory, and the six commercial samples they tested had a range of 6.29 to 8.38 mg gallic acid of phenolic content per gram of oil. When they tested the VCO of Mt. Banahaw Health Products Corp., the values were 13.21 to 13.43 mg gallic acid per gram of oil! (See Professor Dia's statement on Mt. Banahaw Health Products VCO here.) We repeated this test several times on different batches of our Virgin Coconut Oil to verify the high results. In some cases, our phenolic content was more than twice as high as other Virgin Coconut Oils they had tested.

So in terms of empirical evidence, there is no evidence anywhere that we can find that Virgin Coconut Oil produced with "no heat" is superior in any way to the traditional method of producing Virgin Coconut Oil that is used for the Tropical Traditions brand of VCO, which has been sold to hundreds of thousands of people in the US market and around the world for six years now. On the contrary, Professor Dia has verified that at least with phenolic content, our VCO tested higher than any other VCO they had tested in the Philippines. While it has not been proven that the small use of heat that the traditional fermentation method uses at the end of its process to remove moisture and impurities is the cause of these high values (we are still testing for that - could it be that without some heat there are some undesirable enzymes from the coconut meat present in the oil that are breaking down some of the beneficial properties of VCO??), it at least shows that if the methods and quality of coconuts that Mt. Banahaw Health Products Corp. producers practice are followed, that the use of heat in the process has no negative affect on the quality of Virgin Coconut Oil produced.

Answer
What You Need:

3 T Coconut Oil
3 T Baking Soda
2 T Shea Butter
2 T Arrowroot (optional)
Essential Oils (optional)
Melt shea butter and coconut oil in a double boiler over medium heat until barely melted. UPDATE: Combine in a quart size glass mason jar with a lid instead and place this in a small saucepan of water until melted. This will save your bowl and you can just designate this jar for these type of projects and not even need to wash it outâ¦
Remove from heat and add baking soda and arrowroot (If you donât have arrowroot, use more baking soda)
Mix well
Add essential oils and pour into a glass container for storage. It does not need to be stored in the fridge.
If you prefer, you can let it cool completely and put into an old deodorant stick for easier use, though it may melt in the summer!

What are some benefits of coconut oil? And how is it to be used?

Answer
Coconut oil can be used in salads, and other foods. It can also be used on the skin and hair. It may also help your pie crusts taste and stay together better. Some say that its makeup helps keep you healthy, but those claims are quite difficult to assess.

It is often mentioned to help with various maladies such as diabetes and thyroid deficiency. It does not have any special properties with these problems. It will not increase your metabolism, though it could help you get fat if you eat too much of it.

There have been several medical studies of coconut oil, but these have mostly shown that there is no great benefit. Even the ones paid for by the coconut oil marketers didn't show benefit or were severely compromised.

Incidentally, this stuff should run for about $3 per gallon, and not more than $5/gallon. Many marketers will put it into smaller bottles and sell it for a lot more than that. They will also talk about "extra vigin" or whatever to try to increase the value. Coconut oil does degrade over time (it gets rancid if it is exposed to air for a while), so they will also explain that you must get only the freshest of it.
.

Would I still get the same benefits from taking coconut oil pills as applying it to my skin?

Q.

Answer
Yes as long as both types are the naturally extracted type of coconut oil. The refined coconut oils are garbage from a nutritional standpoint, and hard on the body.

The natural coconut oil is very beneficial for the skin and taking it internally is the best way so your body can get maximum benefits from it.

Naturally processed coconut oil also has a couple other great properties - it is the only oil I know of that is still super healthy after being used to cook at normal cooking temperatures. Many healthy oils are not so healthy after being heated although they are still better for you than the common refined oils in the supermarket.

Also, natural coconut oil is the only oil I know of that is not fattening. So, it is an excellent choice for cooking not only for it's healthy properties, but also because it is easy for the body to process and helps to speed up your metabolism, which can actually help you lose weight.

Also, bulk oil from a health food store is a lot cheaper than capsules.

Try it for awhile and you'll see the difference in skin, hair and nails and depending on your present diet, you may also notice an improvement in digestion.

for UNREFINED COCONUT OIL
Taste: Unrefined Coconut Oil is tastier than the Refined Coconut Oil as it is neither bleached nor refined.
Flavour: Again, Unrefined Coconut Oil has a beautiful flavour of that of fresh coconuts which is absent in Refined Coconut Oil, since it is deodorized.
Nutrients: It is more nutritious than the refined one, being least process and subjected to least heat. It is richer in proteins (this is almost absent in refined oil), vitamins and anti oxidants.
Natural: It does not undergo any chemical processing, unlike Refined Coconut Oil which is treated with Sodium Hydroxide and bleached. So, it has that more natural touch.
Wholeness: It is wholesome coconut oil.

How to Use Coconut Oil: If you are using coconut oil for topical purposes, especially hair care, just melt the oil (if it is solid) by keeping the bottle in the sun or warm water. You can also take some coconut oil out and put it in a small bowl and heat the bowl over a flame (do not use microwave). Then take the oil on your palm and apply it to your hair. If you want to use it for internal consumption, simply replace butter or vegetable oils with coconut oil in your recipes. Remember, you need not switch to coconut oil completely, as you will miss the benefits of other oils and dairy products.

Coconut oil benefits on hair.............?

Q. Is coconut oil good to stop hair fall ans simulate hair follicle and promote hair growth.. and does it also makes the hair condition, nourish, shine, silky, smooth.. and good.?????????

Answer
Even better is a "hair superfood" combination of Aloe Vera and Organic Coconut Oil applied directly to the hair, this will absorb into and nourish hair better than anything! This is an incredibly effective alternative to commercial hair care products, which are quick fixes that merely coat the hair shaft but actually are the biggest cause of dry, dull hair over time, due to the mainly artificial chemical ingredients they contain.

Aloe Vera - is one of Nature's best ultra-moisturizers. Not only does it super-moisturize your hair but it has potent anti-oxidants that help keep your hair healthy.

Coconut oil is a rare Medium Chain Fatty Acid whose structure most closely duplicates the natural oils found in human hair. It is rich in components that keep hair strong, vitalized, nourished and protected. It actually penetrates deep into the hair shaft instantly, one of the very few substances on Earth that can do this. It has been used for thousands of years for hair and skin care by people in tropical regions like India and Polynesia where coconuts grow in abundance.

Together they form a truly Magic Combination that is amazing for Beautiful, Healthy Hair!

What sort of things can cause increase production of enzyme 5-alpha reductase?

Mesmerized

by things i mean - activities diet etc

Answer
Stimulating the production of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase causes the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) thus triggering low levels of testosterone resulting in sexual dysfunction. DHT causes male hair loss.

AVOID: The oils to avoid when cooking are the so called "heart healthy" canola oil and vegetable oils. These are not suitable for cooking and will raise 5-alpha reductase enzyme. Creatine supplements are shown to increase the activity of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase.

GOOD: Zinc has been shown to inhibit the activity of 5-alpha reductase. Any therapy using zinc supplementation must also include adequate intake of vitamin B6. Studies have shown that the herb Saw Palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. It acts in a similar way the hair loss drug Propecia does by lowering levels of DHT in the body by blocking 5 alpha-reductase. Saturated fat can lower 5-alpha reductase. Saturated fats with a C12 - C16 chain is mentioned in one study. Lauric acid (C12) is in coconut oil and Palmitic acid (C16) is in palm oil, meat and butter.

gel means do they mean the commercial products or the substance that lies within the plant
and also can i apply the aloevera substance(gel from the plant directly) from the plant directly into my scalp
that ia can i grind aloevera plant and apply directly into my scalp

Answer
Fact: There is no sure-fire way to prevent all hair loss.

However, some methods that have been used work on some people. Here are some suggestions for natural remedies to hair loss.

Massage

Massaging the scalp in general for a couple of minutes a day can stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles and in mild cases stimulate some hair growth in minor cases of temporary hair loss.

There are several electric massagers on the market that have an attachment for scalp massaging as well. An oriental method called Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) has been used to increase circulation to the scalp and face also.

Aromatherapy

A blend of six drops each of lavender and bay essential oils in a base of four ounces of either almond, soybean or sesame oil massaged into the scalp and allowed to sit for 20 minutes has been used by aroma therapists to stimulate the scalp.

Saw Palmetto Extract

There is a definite connection between the prostate and hair loss for men. Saw Palmetto has been found to work in fighting benign prostatic disease by lowering levels of DHT, which is a known cause of androgenetic alopecia.

Saw Palmetto extract is an effective anti-androgen and shows promise as an effective treatment for hair loss prevention. More information on Saw Palmetto for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Women on oral contraceptives or hormone therapy should not take Saw Palmetto.

Nettle Root Extract

Nettles are rich in vitamins A and C, several key minerals and lipids that can be beneficial to the hair. Nettle Root Extract has been used successfully in Europe as an inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase in treating BPH.

Rosemary and Sage

Rosemary and sage are two herbs that have shown benefit traditionally when used externally. Boil together in water rosemary, sage, peach leaf, nettle and burdock. Then strain the loose herbs from the liquid and use the liquid to wash the hair daily.

Jojoba Oil

If you are predisposed to seborrhea, eczema, psoriasis, or dandruff, you could consider using jojoba oil. Mexicans and southwestern Native American nations have used jojoba oil traditionally for centuries to promote hair growth and the control of dandruff. Jojoba oil is great for hypoallergenic skin because it is a great moisturizer and mimics the scalp's own sebum.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has been used by Native Americans, Indians and many in the Caribbean to promote healthy hair and prevent hair loss. Aloe's can help the scalp by healing it and balancing the pH level of the scalp while cleansing the pores. A common preparation of Aloe Vera gel with a small amount of wheat germ oil and coconut milk is used as a shampoo and has traditionally shown great benefit.

Henna

Henna is a traditional Indian herb that acts as a natural conditioner and is excellent for the maintenance of healthy hair. It can help heal the hair shaft by repairing and sealing the cuticle, protecting hair against breakage and loss of shine.

Polysorbate-80

Polysorbate-80 is an FDA approved surfactant that is also approved as a food additive. Although not proven, Polysorbate-80 is said to remove deposits of DHT and cholesterol from the scalp. Polysorbate-80 is being recommended by some naturopathic practitioners as an application for the scalp approximately 15 minutes prior to shampooing.

Cleansing and Detoxification

Cleansing should be a major part of your regimen to maintain and grow hair. Many scalp related diseases are directly the result of toxemia, while toxins in the body adversely affecting the body's systems indirectly affect other conditions. Cleansing can be performed through oral means regularly and occasionally by enema or colonic irrigation.

More remedies for detoxification

Psyllium husk

Fiber is vital to cleansing, and most North American diets are deficient in natural fiber. Psyllium husk is a bulking laxative agent that can be used to safely move waste through the colon. Psyllium is a very good substance as it gently scrubs the walls of the colon to remove waste that is stuck to the walls.

Exercise

Finally, although exercise does absolutely nothing directly to grow hair, most holistic practitioners recommend it. Exercising can improve blood flow, the delivery of oxygen to the cells of the body, and help the digestion of foods, all things that aid the health of hair follicles.

It's in a round container and looks like a whole coconut (without te brown outside) as a whole in the middle, and the oil around it.
Is this normal?
And I also heard coconut oil is good for hair and skin, is that true?
If so, how much do you put on?
Thanks!:)

Answer
coconut oil usually comes in a jar and looks like a white solid mass and smells like coconut.

It will be hard and if you use a spoon and put a little on your hand and watch the warmth of your hand will heat it and melt it to rub over the body.

Coconut is an excellent product for so many things. In the past because it solidified it was connectedi with trans or bad fats but they are now agreeing that a bit in your eating is good for you. Like olive oil. If you heat it and put it in hair and massage it into scalp. wrapped for 20 minutes, rinse out and very lightly shampoo hair just enough to get rid of main oiliness. it fills your hair cuticles for an emergency frizz problem.

It is wonderful added with rolled oats or powdered milk to a bath. soothing and if you just use the past of oats and oil to rub over your skin is an amazing exfolient especially in winter when we are driest. If you don't like smell of coconut, you can add oils to hide the soft smell.

go to www.wellbeing.com.au and you will find other great sites to help you with this product.

how to use coconut milk on hair?

LoraB

I have a few tins of coconut milk and have heard it can be really good for your hair but have no idea how I would go about using it, any tips?

Answer
There are a lot of benefits of using coconut milk, and each one has a different way of using them;
Improves Hair growth & Silky Hair*:
Apply coconut milk on your scalp. It feels cool and relaxing and regular use would make your hair silky and also improves hair growth.

Stop Hair falls*:
Juice of ½ a lime along with coconut milk if massaged on the scalp and hair and kept for 2-3 hrs you will get wonderful result. After 2-3 hrs wash off with a herbal shampoo.

Soft hair*:
In one cup of coconut milk add two spoon of refined flour, three spoon of castor oil, one spoon of shikakai and amla powder and 1 spoon of honey. Mix well and rub on your scalp for 20 minutes. Wash with reetha water.

Treatment for Dandruff:
Massage hot olive oil or coconut oil on scalp before going to bed. In the morning make a solution of lime juices and
salt. Keep for 1 hr and then shampoo it.
Massage warm camphor added coconut oil. Wash off after 1 hr.

Prevent Grey Hair*:
To prevent grey hair massage hair regularly with coconut oil.

Prevent hair Loss*:
The application of coconut milk all over the scalp and massaging it into the hair roots is also beneficial in the treatment of hair loss. It nourishes the hair and promotes hair growth.
:) hope i helped you! x

Shall I apply coconut oil before or after shampoo ?

k_koolkill

I use coconut oil...Now during summers shall I use it before shampoo by applying overnight or just around 1 hr before shampoo. Or can i also use it after shampoo ? Will it make the hair very greasy if i apply shampoo...If i apply before shampoo, then is it necessary to apply conditioner.

Answer
hey there..
coconut oil is amazing it has cool effect and is good for scalp and hair both.COCONUT OIL MAKES YOUR HAIR GROW AND REPAIRS DAMAGE..
its better if u apply it before shampoo.

my suggestion for u is that mix 3 oils and use it and you will see drastic difference in your hair..
they will get soft , smoother shiny and will grow healthy.
what you have to do is take 100 ml of coconut oil , 50 ml olive oil and 50 ml mustard oil.
here i wanna share some benefits of these oils.

Coconut oil
help in smoothing the scalp and keeping it soft. A moisturized scalp promotes hair growth because then there are no dead or dry skin cells to clog the hair follicle. Coconut oil can also help reduce hair breakage because the oil adds to the strength of hair shaft. This is a particular benefit if you have dry hair. When hair breakage is reduced, there is a good chance of the hair reaching longer lengths and growing healthily. Due to its benefits, coconut oil is used as one of the primary ingredients in many of hair care products.

Olive oil makes hair grow stronger and its emollient properties prevent hair loss. If thatâs not enough, olive oil helps in battling dandruff, which can be one of the reasons for hair loss. Olive oil doesnât re-grow your hair, it just makes the existing hair stronger which leads to less breakage.

mustard oil helps prevent hair loss .

HOW TO USE IT_________
On dry hair, massage oil mixture into your hair and scalp, then cover it with a shower cap. Youâll want to leave this on for around three hours, so make sure you have plenty of time at home. After three hours, shampoo the mixture out, then condition as usual. Some leave it on overnight, then shampoo and do a deep condition (leaving it on for an hour) the following day.

other than oils i wanna share a home made easy recipe with u that i use once a week..( i have long silky hair) ..its a protein treatment that u can easily apply by yourself
.. ingredients:
1 full egg
1 tsp honey
1 tsp olive oil
3 tsp yogurt
1 tsp lemon juice
mix these ingredients is a bowel and apply on Your hair from roots to tips. wear a shower cap and wash with shampoo after 20-30 minutes..

honestly speaking..you'll love your hair after wards..!!!
they'll become soft smooth and shiny..

love your hair, be gentle in brushing ..

have a nice day----

So the honey is not all natural an good for you ? They said it was better then table sugar?

Daniel

So honey shld be left alone as well?

Answer
I suggest looking on Google for benefits of honey and you will see it is better than sugar

here are the first three

http://www.benefits-of-honey.com/

http://www.benefits-of-honey.com/health-benefits-of-honey.html

http://www.care2.com/greenliving/10-health-benefits-of-honey.html

You will see honey has many benefits that sugar lacks.
Like most natural foods it is best raw (non animal foods)

I use that and raw agave and real maple syrup the most and have been studying health foods for 35 years.

Sugar has been fractionated which is bad as we were designed to eat whole foods without a lot of processing. Honey comes just as it is while sugar goes through a lot to get it form sugar cane to sugar so it is not the same natural product anymore.

You must always buy raw honey though and not regular generally found at some health food stores or farmer's markets. If at all possible organic is best too.

What kind of oils and sugars to use changes often. I would still use it over sugar even though it turns to glucose in body, it contains nutrients not found in sugar and is not heavily processed like sugar.

Other natural sweeteners are sucanot (very similar in how it mixes to sugar) date sugar, stevia, molasses, brown rice syrup, liquid coconut extract, yukon syrup, Xylitol from birch trees, raw fruit or dried fruit like dates or figs (like in a smoothie)

Honey is definitely superior to sugar and a great anticancer substance, but I would alternate it with other natural sweeteners. Stevia is especially healthy. Some brands taste better than others. It is sometimes called sweet leaf in your grocery health section.

Does coconut oil help dry skin?

Kierra

I heard that it does, does anybody know if that's true?
Also too, if you use it on your face, will it make you break out? It is oil afterall, i suppose.

Answer
I had a problem with dry skin, peeling, and it was even difficult to put makeup on, and tried all sorts of creams (from 60 dollars creams to olive oil and Vaseline), expensive and cheap, but it only got better, substantially when I found out that dry skin is not because of lack of oil but water, I bought a tonic Ives Rocher ( hydra specific) it was about 7 dollars, and the cream ultra source hydra specific, about 10 dollars, and after four years of dry skin, I finally got smooth again.

Coconut Oil Vs Olive Oil for Beauty?

MissKitty

I am wanting to start using Oil but I'm unsure of which to use. This is what I would like to use it for:

Moisturizing
Makeup Remover
Dandruff control (I don't have bad dandruff, but if I scratch my scalp flakes fall.)

I want to know what you prefer and also the cost difference. Which is cheaper, which is better?

Answer
For what your wanting to use it for i would say coconut oil, im not too sure about the price though.

Although any oil would be good for being used as a moisturiser, all depends on what your skin type is.

The best way to get the answer to this would probably be to try and get samples and decide for yourself based on your own personal opinion.

Some oils are lighter than others, so you may not one a particularly heavy oil on your face however you might feel you need it for your hair.

Your best just experimenting.

Coconut oil on skin rash???? Will it work?

liipl 2

My granny has a rash and I applied some Pure coconut oil on her rash. It appeared to have almost completely dissapeared within 24 hours. I was a bit shocked and I wasen't sure if I was imagining things or not. I decided to conitnue cleaning her skin with water and a very gentle soap. Then, I applied a generous amount of coconut oil to the larger areas where the rash happens to be. I plan to regularly clean her skin and continue applying Pure coconut oil to her skin daily. At least twice a day.

Will this help granny's rash go away?

Answer
It should help your grandmother's rash go away. Coconut oil is extremely good for moisturising the skin and helping with skin irritations, so i would recommend you continue using it. I hope it goes away.

Where can i get coconut oil from?

Pink_Barbi

So lately I've been having a rash under my arms. It itches and it burns. I think that my body is reacting to deodorant. I have been reading that coconut oil is a great replacement for deodorant.......If you have used it for deodorant does it work? Where exactly can i get it from? How much is it?

Answer
it is true that coconut oil is a good soothing agent for problem prone skin. back in the days i have used it as a deo and it was really good. You can get coconut oil from boots or online drug stores. it will cost less than 10 dollars.

In my country we have pure coconut oil and even my granny sometimes make pure coconut oil at home too. we have lots of coconut trees in our back yard.

Pills don't make you lose weight or get in shape. Eating right and getting off your lazy ass does.

coconut oil temperature?

Joel P.

I just had my house heat treated for bed bugs and for my house specifically had to blast it to 180F degrees for 6 hrs. I forgot a whole case of coconut oil and I was wondering if I should toss it. I checked some of the jars and the seals didn't break so should that be okay? I also forgot some olive oil and supplements(pill form).

Answer
Yes, your coconut oil should be ok. It will just turn liquid when above a specific temperature but will turn back solid when cold. Give it a taste and smell to be sure. Remember that coconut oil is a tropical oil so it should withstand heat quite well. Coconut oil is also high in saturated fats so this makes it even more heat and light stable when compared to vegetable oils that are high in polyunsaturated fats.

EVERYTHING ABOUT COCONUT OIL!!!!?

Jen

i need to know how i would use "spectrum undefined organic coconut oil" in the following ways

1)weight loss/eating/cooking
2)skin/acne/chicken skin/skin hydration
3)hair

thanks! :)

Answer
Well coconut oil and oils like olive and avocado are very healthy for you. Most of your calories should come from fat. Fat doesn't make you fat. Carbs do. As long as you limit carbs and eliminate grains you can easily lose weight with a lot of coconut oil and fat. Check out marks daily apple's how to succeed with the primal blueprint if you want the best eating path. Its permanent but works. Use dessert and chow stalker for recipes or google paleo/primal versions of your favorite foods. You'll find tons of free recipes. They use oils like coconuts.

You can also add it to your coffee or add coconut cream if you don't like oil in your coffee. Use stevia instead of sugar to lose weight or maintain.

You can use it to moisturize any part of your body. It works on all skintypes and fights acne. It helps fight aging and wrinkles. It absorbs completely and doesn't break you out. I especially love it on my dry face but I have friends with oily skin who also swear by it. You can put it on any dry part of your body and rough part and it makes such a big difference!

You can use it to remove eye makeup.

You can use it to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy.

You can use it to shave with.

You can use it to treat your damaged or overprocessed hair. I like to use it for that purpose sometimes. You can also use very little to eliminate frizz. Be careful not to make hair look greasy.

You can also use it to help treat yeast infections and in place of traditional lube.

You don't have to buy spectrums only. Any brand will do as long as its organic extra virgin oil.

Should I use coconut oil in my horse's eye?

Elle

My horse has developed a horrible infection and I'm worried that she''ll go blind. The vet has said that she is on a 'cliff', as in, on the verge of becoming blind... We've tried many medicines and shes been alergic to 4, weve changed them and also made a healing serum out of horse's blood. Yesterday looked good but it is swollen once again today... I'ts been improving worsening on and off or the past 3 weeks.

She's got this white film on her eye, and the vet isnt sure what caused it. There's a lot of tears, and a little white discharge. It's also extremely swollen and the barely opens her right eye..
My mom wants to use coconut oil, and i'm a little skeptic. WHAT DO I DO? :( I'm extremely concerned and i dont want anything to go wrong...

Thank you for all the help,
I really apreciate it...
xx Elle

Answer
Spun blood (serum) needs to be administered religiously several times a day for several weeks in order for it to begin to work. It is not a magic bullet in which where it's used once or twice the affliction goes away.

If your vet cannot determine what's causing the white film on your horse's eye, I suggest a new vet. That white film is a pretty common reaction to ulceration, as other posters have referred to. IMHO, I believe you need a new vet.

And no, do not put coconut oil in the horse's eye. I believe the reason you're having trouble with this condition is more due to your horse's inability to tolerate some medications, and your vet not prescribing those medications in the proper dosages.

As always, get a second, or third opinion. Do you have any eye specialists in your area? We have 2 in our area, but then again, we're 45 minutes outside NYC, so it's a highly populated region.

Good luck. The other answerers gave some great advice as well.

Organix Coconut Milk Line vs. Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy?

lov869

Hey guys! I straighten my hair a lot and I want something to keep it straight (supposedly the Brazilian keratin therapy) but also one that repairs my split ends etc (supposedly coconut milk). Which one should I get? Iâve heard that the Brazilian keratin therapy line doesnât work to well. I would get the full line for the Brazilian Keratin Therapy but if I got the coconut oil line I donât know what I would need. I would like a deep conditioner, something to repair my hair, shampoo and conditioner, but do I need the styling cream? I mean I donât really blow dry my hair and I very very rarely curl it I normally straighten it. If itâs possible which one of these two lines would make my hair prettier when itâs natural because I HATE it naturally. It is a little wavy, poofy, frizzy, but part straight, and silky, and shiny. Please help! Give exact product names and tell me what you think of the products! And also how much would each line cost approximately? Thanks! : )

Organix website for hair products: http://www.organixhair.com/hair
Organix website for Brazilian keratin therapy: http://www.organixhair.com/category-title/24
Organix website for coconut milk: http://www.organixhair.com/category-title/342

Answer
Hi! So I had tried the Organix Brazilian keratin Therapy. Since I have thinck, curly, frizzy hair, it didn't work! ): I did not try the other line by Organix, but I did some research to help you out:)
So, the Coconut Milk Line is pretty different from the Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy. The Therapy one is suppossed to smooth your hair and get rid of frizz, and make it easier to straighten. The Coconut Milk Line is supposed to restore curly, frizzy, damaged hair and make it easier to add roducts and straighten. Supposedly, most customers are pretty happy with that ine. Personally, I would try he coconut because the other one didn't work that well on a lot of people, inclding me, unless you have thin, slightly wavy hair. I have the Brazilian keratin Therapy shampoo, conditioner, and actual treatment- not that great. They are cheap products so it doesn't hurt to try it on your hair. Here's a website about a coconut milk line with reviews (Scroll down to the bottom):
http://www.amazon.com/Organix-Coconut-Instant-Repair-Treatment/dp/B000X2H6R0

Hope this helped!!! Tell me what you chose and how the results end up :))

Raw milk butter vs raw coconut oil (& any where in the US manufactures raw coconut oil?)?

Jack Bent

Which is better the butter or the coconut oil for cooking? Vegetable oils aren't stable at high temperatures.

Butter can be made locally but raw milk has a rare risk of TB.
Coconut oil seems to be imported from the Philippines BUT imported goods might be irradiated thus potentially increasing your cancer risk over your life with all the other crap people do.

The only US based raw coconut oil I can find is Island Harvest in Kailua, Hawaii but once again it'd have to be flown in and mailed and may go under irradiation (federal employees were complaining of irradiation effects but there's was super high - general mail may be less but I'm not ready to just live in lala land and blow it off and get what I deserve when it's time to retire and collect my pension) I guess butter is the best choice.
Thanks but no I don't want to move to hawaii just yet, especially if there was an economic collapse. During 911, I was on message boards and they felt trapped out there. They import a big chunk of their foods and goods too. Very expensive. But sheetafack soooo beautiful. Plus they have little scorpians -_-

Answer
so what is it that you want here? I'm confused

What are the benefits of raw coconut oil?

Answer
the only information I could find on benefits are sponsored by people who sell/endorse coconut oil They claim many things coconut oil may do for you:

Improve your energy
Reduce your risk of heart disease
Reduce your risk of cancer
Improve your digestion and ability to absorb nutrients
Promote weight loss and maintenance of your ideal weight
Help prevent bacterial, yeast, fungal, and viral infections
Support and enhance your immune system
Help regulate your blood sugar and prevent or control diabetes
Help prevent osteoporosis
Help prevent premature aging and wrinkling of the skin
Help keep your skin smooth and soft
Help protect against skin cancer and blemishes

Mayoclinc states there are no clinical trials to show that coconut oil is effective for weight loss. In fact, some researchers suspect that coconut oil may actually contribute to weight gain.

(10 points!!) coconut oil ?!?!?

what are the benefits of it for your hair and trying to maintain weight?
and where can you buy it in pennsylvania?
thanks

Answer
The health benefits of coconut oil include hair care, skin care, stress relief, maintaining cholesterol levels, weight loss, increased immunity, proper digestion and metabolism, relief from kidney problems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV and cancer, dental care, and bone strength.

Hair Care: Coconut oil is one of the best natural nutrition for hair. It helps in healthy growth of hair providing them a shiny complexion. Regular massage of the head with coconut oil ensures that your scalp is free of dandruff, lice, and lice eggs, even if your scalp is dry. Coconut oil is extensively used in the Indian sub-continent for hair care. It is an excellent conditioner and helps in the re-growth of damaged hair. It also provides the essential proteins required for nourishing damaged hair. It is therefore used as hair care oil and used in manufacturing various conditioners, and dandruff relief creams. Coconut oil is normally applied topically for hair care.

Weight Loss: Coconut oil is very useful in reducing weight. It contains short and medium-chain fatty acids that help in taking off excessive weight. It is also easy to digest and it helps in healthy functioning of the thyroid and enzymes systems. Further, it increases the body metabolism by removing stress on pancreases, thereby burning out more energy and helping obese and overweight people reduce their weight. Hence, people living in tropical coastal areas, who eat coconut oil daily as their primary cooking oil, are normally not fat, obese or overweight.

What are the best healthiest oils to cook with?

Thinking

I would like to know what are the best and healthiest oils to cook with and which ones to avoid. And what is the best temperature to cook the good oils?

Answer
1. virgin coconut oil or refined expeller pressed coconut oil. The refined one is the one without the coconutty taste. If you do get the refined one, make sure it's not hydrogenated and not treated with chemicals to deodorize it.
2. palm oil. Look for sustainable palm oil.
3. grass fed butter and grass fed ghee.
4. lard from pastured pigs.
5. cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. I don't recommend this for cooking. It's really best to be used for cold purposes or finishing touches to a dish.

I like these oils and recommend them over vegetable oils and margarine because it's heat and light stable which means it doesn't oxidize easily, it's low in omega 6 because we are already getting too much omega 6 from our diets and the low omega 6 means it doesn't cause inflammation, it's GMO free, and it's traditional oils used way before vegetable oils and margarine were invented.

Don't believe the myth about how bad saturated fat and cholesterol. It's just a myth. We need the healthy and right fats for our body to function and to be healthy.

Coconut oil making my eczema worse and drier?

T

I've started using coconut oil for my severe eczema after seeing great reviews about it. After 2 days, it seems that my skin has become extremely dry. It's not flaky like usual, but it seems as if it sucks up the oil very rapidly even though I put more on. Should I keep using it a couple more days or another week or is this a sign that I should stop? And does anyone know why this is happening?

Answer
I prefer olive oil. A lot of other oils are just too light, because my skin is really dry also. I use a Cocoa Butter lotion too though. I put them both on back to back while my skin is still wet from the shower.

Cortizone cream helps with the itching too, if you have that. It's really good with moisturizing and healing dry itchy skin.

Cetaphil also makes a really good skin cream that is really good for dry sensitive skin.

Don't forget to drink lots of water, and take a multivitamiin every day. Helps a lot. I also take an Omega 3/6 pill, and a Vitamin E pill everyday. They are really great for dry skin.

Best of Luck.

Have you done it?Coconut oil and weight loss?

ap884ever

I am a mother about to have my baby! I heard something aout taking 3 tablespoons of coconut oil a day helps you have more energy and promote weight loss. Is this true? Have you had any experinces with it? if so, how much did you take a day, how didi you feel and how much weight did you loose in the amount of time? I am thinking about trying it but not sure! Thanks!

Answer
Coconut in the past was considered unhealthy. Recent studies show however, that cold-pressed coconut oil is in fact very healthy. It has many health benefits and one of them is weight loss. It is actually a very good source of energy, and that is why it can be used in salads or simply consumed as it is, to increase energy level. It also speeds up metabolism, thus the weight loss.

Does coconut oil really help with weight loss?

Annabelle

Has anybody tried or known of someone who actually lost a signifigant amount of weight by eating coconut oil? I would like to know if t really works. I am cutting calories and increasing my exercise to but I would like to get back into shape before spring classes start up again in mid January (about 10 pounds) I am not overweight I am 5'5 115 pounds but I have been slacking with exercise and notice I am not as muscular/toned as I was during the summer. Any good reasonable suggestions would also help. Thanks.

Answer
I have used coconut oil and know others who swear by it. Personally it did help suppress my appetite due to the high fat. Normally people who are doing low carb (Atkins) diets are the ones who benefit most since they are burning fat rather than carbs as their main fuel. I am not sure how well it would work if your not doing Atkins since the high fat along with carbs might actually cause you to gain weight.

Here is a website about coconut oil and all the benefits:

http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/

Hope this helps!

I should add the reason I don't use it often is because I really can't stand the taste and almost have to choke it down. If I could find one without the flavor I would use it more for cooking and such.

Why is my hair breaking?

Q. I have 4a natural hair and I don't understand why my hair is breaking. I have low porosity hair and sit under a dryer while deep conditioning (with a processing cap over it). I co-wash my hair every other week and the weeks that I don't co-wash I wash my hair with a shampoo (since I have low porosity hair) and then deep condition. I moisturize my hair in the morning and at night by first spraying my hair with warm water and then using a small amount of coconut oil to seal in the moisture. I am very gentle with my hair. I recently cut an inch off my hair and have no split ends. Overall, my hair looks healthy but it is still breaking. I don't do protein treatments as much because my hair doesn't like protein and breaks even more when protein is added. I do protective styles during the weekdays and wear my hair in braid outs and twist outs on the weekends. I do hot oil treatments as my pre-poo treatments using coconut oil. I only use natural hair products that contain no silicone and I use products with gylercin. My hair responds well to these products making my hair soft and giving it a sheen. Here is a list of the hair products I use:
- Shea moisture balancing conditioner
-Giovanni weightless leave- in conditioner
- Water
- Extra virgin coconut oil
-Homemade whipped shea butter (use only when wearing hair out)

P.S. I do not put heat on my hair other than the deep conditioning under a hooded dryer.

Answer
comb your wet hair, do not brush it wet, that causes breakage
watch the comb /brush you use, some are harsh on hair
go to Ulta, and they have lots of products there that could help you

how to define my curls? I just want to go natural but looks like a mess at the moment. Not enough body and it is not standing up at all. What' shall I do plz

Answer
You can use a product called "Kinky Curly Custard". Its great for defining tight curls.

The key to having nice defined curls is moisture and LOTS of it. Are you using a good conditioner? Try Suave Naturals Coconut Conditioner as well as some natural coconut oil (MAKE SURE IT CONTAINS NO PETROLEUM).

4b/c hair type has a "z" pattern and very little curl. Tends to be dry. This is the kinkiest hair type.

4a has an "s" pattern. Very curly, can be dry.

Be patient and give your hair some time to grow. Natural hair is naturally beautiful. If your feeling down about your hair go to youtube and check out some natural hair videos. They can be very inspiring.

Good luck!
