Shall I apply coconut oil before or after shampoo ?

k_koolkill

I use coconut oil...Now during summers shall I use it before shampoo by applying overnight or just around 1 hr before shampoo. Or can i also use it after shampoo ? Will it make the hair very greasy if i apply shampoo...If i apply before shampoo, then is it necessary to apply conditioner.

Answer
hey there..
coconut oil is amazing it has cool effect and is good for scalp and hair both.COCONUT OIL MAKES YOUR HAIR GROW AND REPAIRS DAMAGE..
its better if u apply it before shampoo.

my suggestion for u is that mix 3 oils and use it and you will see drastic difference in your hair..
they will get soft , smoother shiny and will grow healthy.
what you have to do is take 100 ml of coconut oil , 50 ml olive oil and 50 ml mustard oil.
here i wanna share some benefits of these oils.

Coconut oil
help in smoothing the scalp and keeping it soft. A moisturized scalp promotes hair growth because then there are no dead or dry skin cells to clog the hair follicle. Coconut oil can also help reduce hair breakage because the oil adds to the strength of hair shaft. This is a particular benefit if you have dry hair. When hair breakage is reduced, there is a good chance of the hair reaching longer lengths and growing healthily. Due to its benefits, coconut oil is used as one of the primary ingredients in many of hair care products.

Olive oil makes hair grow stronger and its emollient properties prevent hair loss. If thatâs not enough, olive oil helps in battling dandruff, which can be one of the reasons for hair loss. Olive oil doesnât re-grow your hair, it just makes the existing hair stronger which leads to less breakage.

mustard oil helps prevent hair loss .

HOW TO USE IT_________
On dry hair, massage oil mixture into your hair and scalp, then cover it with a shower cap. Youâll want to leave this on for around three hours, so make sure you have plenty of time at home. After three hours, shampoo the mixture out, then condition as usual. Some leave it on overnight, then shampoo and do a deep condition (leaving it on for an hour) the following day.

Answer
I suggest looking on Google for benefits of honey and you will see it is better than sugar

here are the first three

http://www.care2.com/greenliving/10-health-benefits-of-honey.html

You will see honey has many benefits that sugar lacks.
Like most natural foods it is best raw (non animal foods)

I use that and raw agave and real maple syrup the most and have been studying health foods for 35 years.

Sugar has been fractionated which is bad as we were designed to eat whole foods without a lot of processing. Honey comes just as it is while sugar goes through a lot to get it form sugar cane to sugar so it is not the same natural product anymore.

You must always buy raw honey though and not regular generally found at some health food stores or farmer's markets. If at all possible organic is best too.

What kind of oils and sugars to use changes often. I would still use it over sugar even though it turns to glucose in body, it contains nutrients not found in sugar and is not heavily processed like sugar.

Other natural sweeteners are sucanot (very similar in how it mixes to sugar) date sugar, stevia, molasses, brown rice syrup, liquid coconut extract, yukon syrup, Xylitol from birch trees, raw fruit or dried fruit like dates or figs (like in a smoothie)

Honey is definitely superior to sugar and a great anticancer substance, but I would alternate it with other natural sweeteners. Stevia is especially healthy. Some brands taste better than others. It is sometimes called sweet leaf in your grocery health section.
