hey does applying pure coconut oil on skin increase skin damage to sun light like golycolic and salyclic acid does????? does it increase chance of burning or tanning????
Answer
coconut oil does not aide to anything!!...it is a good mosturiser and helps nourish the skin!!.....usually applied in winter to avoid dry scaly skin!!....coconut oil is not a sun screen......u may tan urself even when u hav the oil applied on u...so i suggest u to go for a better sunscreen(water based)

Does coconut oil help dry skin?
Kierra
I heard that it does, does anybody know if that's true?
Also too, if you use it on your face, will it make you break out? It is oil afterall, i suppose.
Answer
I had a problem with dry skin, peeling, and it was even difficult to put makeup on, and tried all sorts of creams (from 60 dollars creams to olive oil and Vaseline), expensive and cheap, but it only got better, substantially when I found out that dry skin is not because of lack of oil but water, I bought a tonic Ives Rocher ( hydra specific) it was about 7 dollars, and the cream ultra source hydra specific, about 10 dollars, and after four years of dry skin, I finally got smooth again.
