Answer
Lotion Benefits
Lotion is a plentiful commodity found in most homes. Lotions rely upon a combination of oil and water bound together through the use of an emulsifier. Whether it's a moisturizing lotion to relieve dry skin or a medicated lotion, such as calamine lotion, it tends to go on smoothly, absorb quickly, and leave no greasy residue.
Body Butter Benefits
Body butter generally includes three basic ingredients: shea butter, a vegetable oil, and coconut oil or butter. There are different types of body butter as well. You can choose from whipped, waxless and even a bar-type. The whipped butter usually includes beeswax, which makes the formula harder to absorb but longer lasting, while the waxless and bar-type are more easily absorbed into the skin. Body butters are thicker than lotion and tend to leave a film on the surface of the skin.
Which to Choose
The fact that most body butters use shea butter, an all-natural, healing vitamin A cream, makes them ideal for skin damaged by dryness, wind or chapping. A body butter will provide superior, longer-lasting emollients, making it the choice when dry skin also needs intense moisture and healing. If added moisture is all that is necessary, a lighter, more easily absorbed lotion would be adequate.

How can I go on a diet and not be afraid to eat?

Geki

I just started dieting to lose weight for a week now. I'm 5'4 and 160 pounds. I want to try and lose 30 pounds in a year. I've been cutting down my calories to no more than 1800, and working out for at least two hours a day.

The problem is now I am afraid to eat. Yesterday I didnt eat more than 1000 calories because I've been to afraid I'd pass my 1800 calorie mark. I'm so afraid to eat dinner with my family and just make something of my own because they eat whatever they want to. My problem is kind of the opposite of overeatting.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Answer
Focus on what you can eat vs what you cannot eat.

If you want a proven way to "count" your food in a way that dramatically causes fat loss, consider Jorge Cruz' Belly Fat Cure. Basically, if you worry about counting primarily sugars and carbs, you can lose that stubborn fat. He sets the amount at 15 grams of sugar per day and 6 servings of carbs per day. His book has details on how to do it.

Stay clear of artificial sweeteners, bad fats (try to use only pure butter, cold-pressed olive or coconut oil for cooking, and only olive and walnut oil for salads - stay away from vegetable oils and anything hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated and margerines) - and limit the butter and olive oil. Coconut oil actually helps weight loss, but you still don't want to overdo the calories.

So unless your family's meals are too high in fat/bad fat, go ahead and eat with them, just count your sugars and your carbs, and adjust the meal as you need to by adding a side veggie and skipping the mashed potatoes, for example.

Next, stop working out for 2 hours a day. This has been shown to be counterproductive to weight loss. On top of that, it isn't sustainable if you want to live a balanced life someday. But mostly, it just doesn't work, and tends to work worse the longer you do it.

Instead, start doing an exercise that isn't going to take your whole life, but yields impressive returns, like T-Tapp or Rebounding. Both will tone your body and take out the trash like crazy, while providing other health benefits. If nothing else, go to the T-Tapp.com site, and learn (for free) how to do the "hoe-downs" exercise. It reduces blood sugar by 60-85 points in just 3 minutes. Brilliant. Do it after every meal, and you will have less available for fat storage.
