where to get coconut oil?

I heard that coconut oil is great for both skin and hair and i really want it! but i have no clue where to find it. do they sell it at drugstores or Bath and body works or something? if not where? THaNX!

Answer
health food store. coconut oil and cocoa butter are solid in the jar and melt on your skin. they are really similar to natural skin oils and absorb without being too greasy. the coconut is more greasy.

coconut oil temperature?

Q. I just had my house heat treated for bed bugs and for my house specifically had to blast it to 180F degrees for 6 hrs. I forgot a whole case of coconut oil and I was wondering if I should toss it. I checked some of the jars and the seals didn't break so should that be okay? I also forgot some olive oil and supplements(pill form).

Answer
Yes, your coconut oil should be ok. It will just turn liquid when above a specific temperature but will turn back solid when cold. Give it a taste and smell to be sure. Remember that coconut oil is a tropical oil so it should withstand heat quite well. Coconut oil is also high in saturated fats so this makes it even more heat and light stable when compared to vegetable oils that are high in polyunsaturated fats.
