Does omega-3 fish oil 1000mg cause prostate cancer or not?

Sergio

I just bought some and I don't know if I want to take them.

Answer
No, not even close. It has many uses but the two most important reasons to take it is for inflammation and for the arteries. Inflammation is the first step in almost any disease. If that is taken care of it doesn't progress. Arteries stretch and contract and fish oil helps them do it. Fish, krill, coconut, flax, and primrose oils are omega 3. Corn, vegetable, canola, etc., are omega 6. They are the unhealthy ones.

Is drinking a tsp. of olive oil daily ok?

Q. I have really dry skin, so I've been taking a fish oil capsule (1000mg) each day. It helps a little. My cat has dry skin and problems with furballs. I read that a tsp. of olive oil helps w/cats' digestion, so I've been giving it to my cat each day. It seems to help (she loves it, too!). Her coat looks really good. So, I was wondering if it would help me, too. I've been drinking a tsp. along with my cat. I know it has "good" fat, and I don't care about the fat and cals anyway since I'm trying to gain a few lbs. Are there bad effects from it long-term? I also know fish oil is good for PMS, naturally regulating hormones. This is good since my periods tend to skip around and I miss them easily. Will olive oil help this, too. It won't make my hair oily, will it? I have fine hair, but it's dry so I wouldn't think it would get oily. Is it ok to take more than a tsp.? I wouldn't think a tsp. would do much. I just want something to help with my itchy dry skin. External things don't work.

Answer
For one thing if your cat gets a one tsp dose then your reccomended dose would be much higher then that, I read that one tablespoon after every meal is a good dose for a dieting adult. Second, if you are going to take olive oil why not combine it with somthing yummy like bread and vinegar or tomato's or pasta instead of drinking it straight--yuck! Third if you are going to drink it straight, you should splurge and get the really good stuff that is not fake and shitty like the american olive oil is... it is better for the health and tastes better (raw).

The Possible benifits of Olive oil are as follows: Olive oil aids in digestion, therefore helps to sustain metabolism. The healthy caloric intake is not low a low calorie food. Olive oil is rich in vitamins A, B-1, B-2, C, D, and Iron. Most importantly, olive oil helps the body to maintain strong levels of vitamin E, which is a great helper in delaying the aging process. Olive oil gives the body “beneficial” fatty acids to use, which helps the skin become suppler. Olive oil helps your digestive tract by aiding constipation. One of the greatest appreciated benefits of olive oil is there is no cholesterol in it. Olive oil also helps the stomach fight ulcers.

I hear that coconut oil, fish oil (salmon), and flax seed oil are also a miracle oils Maybe it would be good to vary the healthy fats, as variety is the spice of life!
