Ok hi, my aunt told me my hair texture was a 4c i think, im African-American, and i wanted to grow my relaxed hair even more.My hair is stiff, thick and im 14 years old. I have Tee-tree oil, lavender oil(pure), castor oil, olive oil shampoo, wrap spray, conditioner, and mayonnaise. I have BB hair grease (coconut), i have all kinds of wrap lotions &&. foams..i have organics shampoo(coconut, passion fruit, grapefruit and other scents) I have some leave in treatments, jojoba oil-included products(but not the actuall oil), protein stuff too...
And another thing, i want to go natural so my hair can grow more but i cant seem to find any hair styles to fit me!! I don't like dreads, afros, nore shribbled-up curls!!My mom wont let me get my hair braided like kinky.braids...and if you guys say heat and flat irons are bad for my relaxed hair, what SHOULD i use??PLEASE give me some advise im desperate :(
Now, I told you everything i have because so i want to know can i mix anything? I have vitamin pills too.I cant get used to exercising, eating fruits and veggies how can i do this??Every week i wash my hair. I hate flat ironing my hair because the flat irons my mom has are the ones with the stove&&. curls set; i don't know how to use them that well, every time she flat irons my hair, it looks shiny and frizzy. My hair's TRUE weakness is frizz.I REALY love my hair and wish to take good care of it.can you PLEASE give me some advice??It's really dry too, and bad breakage in the back, my hair dresser says that i cant even get my hair streeked, dyed, or colored because my hair is in bad condition; i got to the shop every 1 1/2 month, my grandmother tries her best, but she doesnt have enough money to take me every weekend, so...and there's this hair wax my stylist uses.she has her products turned around so her customers wont know her specialtys.. its in a white jar, brown writing and same-color brown top she dabbs some in her hands, rubs it together, puts it on the section of the hair she's gonna flat iron, and flat irons it. when she's done, its bumpy, full of body, and movable like a white person's hair(not trying to be racist, or funny)

Okay, as for all of the products, you really don't need a whole laundry list of products that you should be using, unless of course you're doing the trial and error thing (trying differents products out to see what works best for you). You're on a good path with the pure lavender oil, castor, and tea tree oil, just try to get some essential jojoba oil to act as a carrier oil. Mix about 1 ounce of the jojoba oil with 3-5 drops of the lavender, castor and tea tree oils. If you are trying to go natural you can get rid of the wrapping lotion or spray because you will no longer have any use for that (if your gonna do a big chop). You should also throw away the BB hair grease which is really heavy and will clog your pores with the heavy petrolatum (which is probably the main ingredient). With clogged pores your scalp can not breath and that may cause your hair to grow at a slower rate. Also you should realize that going natural does not mean that your hair will grow faster or longer than it is already growing. As a matter of fact it may seem as if it isn't growing much because of the shrinkage with your curls.You just won't see nearly as much breakage or shedding, therefore you'll retain most of your hair growth. Most people go natural for their own personal benefit, to improve the health of their hair or to save time and money spent at the salon. As far as styles you could wear cornrows, micro braids, two strand twists, or flat twists (later take those out and wear a twist out). While you are growing your hair out you dont have to wear natural styles. You could still blow dry your hair with a comb attachment, then flat iron with a different flat iron. You could find a a decent flat iron at walmart for $20. Once you get alot of new growth it will be much harder for you to wear it straight though. Since your hair is really dry and damaged you may want to* think about doing a big chop if your mom will let you OR when you get trims just have them trim it a little more than they normally would to speed up the process. I think it's easier to do the BC beecause you won't have to deal with to types of hair and making the curly hair straight or getting the straight hair to look right in a natural style. Also you really can see progress when you BC, from a small fro, to ear length, to shoulder length, etc. The best thing about going natural is you get to test your hair, play with it a little and see what works for it. Most natural styles you can do yourself at home, like two strand twists, therefore decreasing the amount of money you have to spend at the salon. Growing long hair will take patience and time, as hair only grows an average of 1/2 inch per month. There are something you can do to help aid healthier hair that could potentially grow slightly more than 1/2 inch.
1. Eat a well-rounded diet. This sounds cliche and over-used, but this cannot be stressed enough. Foods that are good for your hair include: salmon, tuna, eggs, green leafy veggies such as kale & spinach, sardines, carrots, tomatoes, turkey, chickpeas, bananas and avocados
2. Take a multivitamin. Taking a multivitamin does not make up for a crappy diet, so try to eat as healthy as possible. Dark, leafy green vegetables and protein are essential for the health of your hair and skin. Dark leafy green vegetables will help mostly with strength and shine while oily fish(salmon, tuna and sardines) will help with shine, softness and strength. More strength means less breakage which means it will be longer.
3. Massage your scalp for 3-5 minutes every morning and night. You can do the massaging when you're in the shower washing your hair or conditioning it, but massaging helps stimulate blood flow to the scalp.
4. Deep condition on a weekly basis to keep your hair nourished and moisturized. If your hair is dry, damaged, curly or kinky, try a deep conditioner with extra virgin coconut oil. If it's thin or normal(meaning not damaged), use olive oil. It's probably in your kitchen already. Warm it up and apply to damp hair. You can either leave it on overnight(in which case, put your hair in a bun) or leave it in for 30 minutes-60 minutes & then rinse and wash your hair as usual.
Try to avoid using heat tools on your hair. If you must, then use a thermal heat protectant to protect your hair. I would advice you to avoid heat at all costs though.
5. As for supplements, the BIG suggestion everyone makes. If you rather not take a multivitamin, you can opt for a hair, skin and nails supplement. These can be found anywhere from Target to Wal-Mart to GNC & Vitaminshoppe. I'd go for the ones from Wal-Mart because they're cheap and they all contain the same ingredients. Biotin will simply help strengthen the hair and can have benefits for your nails as well. Many people report seeing an increase in growth when taking biotin but it can take time. Generally it's said it takes about 3 months to see a difference. I would highly recommend you take a biotin supplement on a daily basis.
