Coconut oil rose hip oil for stretch marks?

mommy of 1

does it really help the visibility for them have you tried any if so whats the best brand that can be used?

Answer
Coconut oil is a lovely thing to use after a bath, but there is nothing sold over the counter and applied topically that does anything for stretch marks. Retin-A (available by prescription) has been shown to make a (fairly slight) difference. But any sort of oil or whatnot will just be a nice moisturizer, and not do anything more or less for stretch marks than any other moisturizer.

Nobody cares about them but you, and they all diminish with time.

im buyin coconut oil and i need to know whats the difference between Extra Virgin, organic, unrefined?

Extra Virgin Organic

the oil is for my hair and my body since i heard it is a multi purpose oil

Answer
Coconut oil is very popular and very preferred as hair oil worldwide. Virgin Coconut Oil is the best to use.

How to use coconut oil for hair conditioner:

The best way to apply coconut oil to your hair is immediately after a shower or bath, when the hair is still wet. It should not still be dripping wet, but more than slightly damp.

It doesn't matter whether the coconut oil is liquid or solid (pure coconut oil solidifies at less than 76 degrees F, but it's still perfectly good).

Take a small amount (about a half teaspoon for long hair, less for shorter hair) and put it in your palm. Rub your hands together and begin the application at the ends of your wet hair, using your oily fingers to distribute it evenly and lightly.

The trick is to use just enough so that the oil will penetrate the hair, without leaving an oily or greasy look. Use more at the ends, less in the middle and very little, if any at the roots.

Donât use any oil near the roots if you want to avoid the greasy look.

Although the molecular structure of coconut oil is perfect for penetrating inside the hair shaft, and works beautifully with the natural hair proteins, its still easy to go overboard with the application, and end up with oily hair.

If youâve applied enough to make the hair look oily, the only way to remove it is to re-wash the hair.

Coconut oil is also a great treatment for dandruff.

Whether the flakes are caused by dry scalp, or a fungal/yeast condition like seborrheic dermatitis, coconut oil will help, because it's a great moisturizer, and it's anti-fungal. Again, do scalp treatments when you don't have to go out in public, try overnight treatments (protect your pillow with a plastic bag covered with an old towel).
The first time you try coconut oil for hair conditioning, pick a day when you can hang out at home.

It can take a bit of experimentation until you find the right dose for your particular hair, and the important thing is to be able to leave the oil in your hair once you have applied it.

Coconut oil for hair and skin?

help?!

My mom ordered coconut oil and it came in the mail today.
It's in a round container and looks like a whole coconut (without te brown outside) as a whole in the middle, and the oil around it.
Is this normal?
And I also heard coconut oil is good for hair and skin, is that true?
If so, how much do you put on?
Thanks!:)

Answer
coconut oil usually comes in a jar and looks like a white solid mass and smells like coconut.

It will be hard and if you use a spoon and put a little on your hand and watch the warmth of your hand will heat it and melt it to rub over the body.

Coconut is an excellent product for so many things. In the past because it solidified it was connectedi with trans or bad fats but they are now agreeing that a bit in your eating is good for you. Like olive oil. If you heat it and put it in hair and massage it into scalp. wrapped for 20 minutes, rinse out and very lightly shampoo hair just enough to get rid of main oiliness. it fills your hair cuticles for an emergency frizz problem.

It is wonderful added with rolled oats or powdered milk to a bath. soothing and if you just use the past of oats and oil to rub over your skin is an amazing exfolient especially in winter when we are driest. If you don't like smell of coconut, you can add oils to hide the soft smell.

go to www.wellbeing.com.au and you will find other great sites to help you with this product.
