How often should I put coconut milk to my skin to have a glowing skin effect?

elizabeth

i live in the southeast pacific and coconuts are in abundance. recently, i have learned that there are lots of benefits i can get from coconut milk. it is cheap, free and easily available in where i live. my question is how often should i put coconut milk on my skin to have a glowing, smooth and silky effect? my friend told me that i should rub coconut milk to my skin everyday before i take a bath. And additional question, should i use fresh coconut milk or virgin coconut oils found in drugstores and grocery stores? which is better? thank you very much for all the responses!! =)

Answer
Coconut milk is thought to help exfoliate because of the fatty acids it has in it. I also heard that coconut oil was beneficial for hair and skin. Both applying it and ingesting it. The oil probably moisturizes more than exfoliate, so I'm sure you could do both. Just remember that the milk is probably a gentle exfoliation, so if your skin is really dry, there are more aggressive products that you could use that would give better exfoliation. But if your getting it free.. just stick with that. I wish we could get free coconuts here in the states! They are too expensive to buy here for daily consumption.

HOW GOOD IS ARGAN OIL SERUM?

Quintessa

I just discovered argan oil and i love it but i heard that there's a serum for the hair so i was wondering where can i buy it at and how good is the products and anything else you know about the stuff thanks a lot

Answer
Omg yes argan oil is awesome, I use it almost everyday because I have frizzy curls and that stuff is the only one that actually makes it look good. Plus I found one online that is also a heat protectant and I straighten my hair sometimes so it's extra useful, you use some after a shower and it's not even greasy. It has more benefits than olive, coconut, castor, almond..lots of oils in general, it's just really really good!! Mine is called pro naturals moroccan argan oil, look for it online. That one is kinda pricey because salons use it, but it's the best and it has no silicones. Oh careful with that btw, never get argan oi with silicones, always check the ingredient list. Those are bad for hair and make it heavy and greasy looking.

coconut oil....which benefits your skin and hair more???

Q. to put a teaspoon on your skin ORR to actually eat a teaspoon of it everyday??

Answer
BOTH! Coconut oil (100% virgin coconut oil) is extremely great for the hair and skin, for so many different reasons. Coconut oil used as a supplement or as a cooking oil, are not only good for your skin and hair but offer many other GREAT health benefits as well. There is a lot of info about coconut oil 'on line.'

Does coconut oil really work?

Kerstin

I heard that coconut oil is really healthy for you hair, but does
it actually work?

Answer
You'll have to try it and see.

I use it everyday in my hair. You can eat it, cook with it, and use it on your skin and in your hair. It makes my hair and skin soft and shiny, and it has other healthy benefits. If you want to keep your skin looking healthy and give it a glow, put a little bit of olive oil or coconut oil on it. Works wonders. You can also use it as a hot oil treatment. You can find it in the pharmacy section of places like Wal-mart or in vitamin stores. Extra virgin coconut oil is great. Walmart sells organic, extra virgin coconut oil, which is where I got mine. You can also find it in health foods stores.

Is virgin coconut oil good for your skin and hair?

ginabobina

Will it clog pores, and does it even get absorbed? Benefits short term and long term would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Coconut oil is great for hair! I use it in my hair everyday! I don't know if it works on skin though because I don't use it on my skin. Coconut oil will get absorbed in your hair, and it will also penetrate your hair shaft. I use Organix Coconut products. The Organix Coconut products smell amazing and they work outstanding on my naturally wavy hair. I've even been told that my hair looks longer. Here is the link. http://beautypureandsimple.com/coconutmilk.asp

I also use the Proclaim Coconut Hair oil from Sally's. http://www.sallybeauty.com/Coconut-Oil-Conditioner/PROCLM24,default,pd.html

Will coconut oil benefit me as almond oil? Will it reduce dark bags under eyes?

Smart101

I heard a lot of benefits for both of these oils but right now I only have coconut oil handy. Will it do the same miracle as the almond oil if I massage it under my dark circles for 14 days? I was just wondering since I don't want it to become worse or if it will actually work. Thanks!

Answer
Another waste of money, it is a billion dollar business the beauty industry.

Not possible without wearing tons of make up. Even Oprah & Hilary Clinton who buys the best concealers money can buy can't cover theirs. Don't believe me? Google them and see their latest photos.
Jane Fonda had surgery done, admitted she hated surgeries, but that's ONE she actually had done.

You CAN try to sleep the same amount of hours everyday, and eat all the healthy foods from Mother Nature.

It's possible changing your sleep & diet can do miracles.
