Does it have the same benefits as pure virgin oil?
Answer
First - There are no recognized "virgin" standards for coconut oil like there are with olive oil. Any manufacturer that uses "virgin" or "extra virgin" is just using them as marketing terms. See the CODEX Alimentarius link for more information.
Second - You need to make sure that you are getting a coconut oil that is cold-pressed and not treated with hexane or some other chemical. Louana SAYS that they are an expeller-pressed coconut oil.
Last - You should probably focus on an organic coconut oil to avoid any harmful chemicals. Natural does not equal Organic. "Natural" oils can still use chemicals and GMOs.

Please share your results and observations using the oil.
Answer
I use coconut oil daily.I try to consume atleast 3 1/2 tablespoons a day. For me, if I can get a little more in my system the better. I eat the oil and the coconut milk. I ingest it in my diet and I use it on my skin. Firstly, I must say that upon ingesting it for my metabolism also helped to improve my skin. I no longer have the scaly, flaky patches that I have had for several years. I used moisturizers to smooth the skin but nothing "cured" the patches until I began adding the oil to my diet. I now use nothing but the expeller pressed organic oil for my skin. The rough skin on my feet are now like velvet. The dermititis has also cleared. I have lost an additional 5 lbs since April. Next week I will have some blood work done to see how my insides are working. I have the feeling that my fibroid cysts are shrinking and my cholesterol ratios will be properly balanced. Here is a good website to visit.
