Q. So I asked this question a few days ago: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvQ1id8vyul8XZA2_Jq.UNPsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20120804154006AAh0x2T
Went in for a recheck today. And her ulcer is healing and is much better. And her deeper layers of her cornea are healing but her outer layers aren't . She is going in again in one week. If it's not healed by then she is getting sugery and her lids stitched shut. He's going to make cuts in her eye. (For a few weeks or so I am guesing.) This is better news than before however, because he said he might send her to a specalist for grafts.
So my question: Why isn't it healing? And are there any other ways to help it heal? She's just on her antibiotic and dialator now she's not on the blood serum anymore.
*He is going to make cuts in her eyes for the surgery and then stitch her lids shut for a few weeks.

Answer
You can try two things that are completely safe and non toxic, but most of the medical community will say has no effect because they concentrate on approved meds.
Both of these are natural:
Extra virgin organic coconut oil added to the food. I'd do a tablespoon. And Serrapeptase enzyme.
If anything, it will greatly help recovery, if not miraculously help the condition before surgery.
Don't take my word for it. Google it and research yourself. I'll even help you get started, and NO, I'm not here to sell anything or be a vet. I've just found this stuff out by myself when I was stuck in Holland as an American with their crappy health systems and insurances that weren't helping me! And my American dogs were here with me and we ALL have benefited.
So, take it if you will, and good luck to you: http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-1115-SERRAPEPTASE.aspx?activeIngredientId=1115&activeIngredientName=SERRAPEPTASE
Coconut oil for animals you can search for yourself.
Good luck for you and your dog! I really feel for you and hope this has helped, or will help!

What is the best way to prevent breast cancer?
Q. (1 in 8 US women will have breast cancer; 1 in 24 Philippine women. Is it what they do eat - or what they don't eat ... or .... ?)
Answer
One clue to decreasing the risk of breast cancer is using virgin coconut oil for food. The Philippine women who move to the USA or to urban centers in the Philippines show as high of rates of breast cancer as American women - ruling out a genetic factor. But it is not possible at present to say if there is something in industrialized foods that actually causes increased incidence of breast cancer. Raloxifene actually causes a relatively minor reduction in breast cancer incidence, and though it was touted to have less side effects than Tamoxifene, these were not statistically significant - making it a profit-oriented hype campaign from the pharmaceutical industry much more than a serious medical breakthrough supported by legitimate scientific research. The FDA approved it because it's true, that it is therapeutically effective - but the risk-benefit advantage is not at all obvious.
