I'm a girl who just washes her hair, conditions it with olive oil products & just leave it. I cut my hair recently, so now it's in an afro. I want my hair too grow big, thick & strong. Any suggestions?
Answer
Definitely. Coconut oil, as far as I've seen, is wonderful for all types of hair. And if your hair agreed with the olive oil, it will definitely agree with the coconut oil, since they're kind of similar in thickness and texture. :)

Is this what you have...

Technically, this is not really a hair conditioner. What type of result were you trying to achieve? This is what African American people call "grease". It would basically coat your hair. If you were to look at the ingredients, notice that the first ingredient is Petrolatum.....basically Petroleum jelly. I don't like to ridicule, but if you wanted something with conditioning properties, try an actually hair conditioner. If you want something that you don't have to wash out, try a leave in conditioner. African Americans usually use something like Blue Magic Coconut Oil Conditioner as a sealant. It's used to hold in moisture, since African American hair craves it. Basically, someone would moisturize their hair and then apply the Blue Magic afterwards to lock in the moisture. I'm not trying to prevent you from trying it out. You can always try it out to see how you like it :)
