Q. Today, I took my little yorkie & collie mix outside on a walk at least 4 times today. On each walk, she would pee multiple times, which I didn't pay any attention to at first. But the very last time that I took her out, after peeing in three different spots, she just laid down on the grass. My mom took hr out after me & said that she did the same thing with her. Then, apparently, after my father picked her up one time, he saw that she was bleeding a little bit. So my mom gave her a bath, & usually, after a bath, Princess will run around the house trying to get dry. But this time, so only did so for a few moments before laying down again. This is very odd behavior for her, & I'm seriously worried. If it's something serious, I have no idea what we'll do, because we don't have enough money to see at vet at the moment. Somebody please help & tell me what's going on with my baby girl. Please.
Answer
It *does* sound like a serious UTI infection.
I would give that to her some Coconut oil (expeller pressed or organic virgin, NOT hydrogenated) every 4 hours until she feels much better, and then continue every 8 hours for at least two weeks . . . then with every meal. It may not work on *all* infections, but it does on many . . . and not only bacterial types.
Here is a list of several sites with information about it:

The benefits of this oil are seemingly endless! :
"While coconut possesses many health benefits due to its fiber and nutritional content, it's the *oil* that makes it a truly remarkable food and *medicine*."
"Coconut (Cocos nucifera)"
- 'The Tree of Life'

It can be purchased at most Health Food Stores,
and you can eat it, too.
(My dog is 60 lbs, & I give her 1/2 tablespoon 2 times daily as a *maintenance* dose.
She sometimes gets pancreatitis from someone giving her fatty treats, and Coconut is actually a part of the treatment for it, being the ONLY oil that is good for it. I give more of it to her then. My family takes it for various types of infections, too, as it is more than just antibiotic, but also antiviral, antifungal, and somewhat antiparasitic, as well.)
I've had a UTI, and it *is* VERY PAINFUL!
Some people purchase animal antibiotics at a feed store, but, you have to be very careful to dose the patient properly, and for the period of time needed. Then, you need to re-establish the good bacteria that was killed off in the process. (Coconut oil does *not* kill beneficial bacteria.)

UtI? Yeast Infection? Neither?
Tmarie
A few days ago I started noticing that my urine was cloudy and i had an intense burning while urinating. A day or so later I was having severe itchyness and white discharge. I thought that I had a yeast infection so I bought yeast infection cream at the store. While it did stop the white discharge, it didn't help the itchyness. I also noticed that my labia was very dry and felt kind of stiff. today I went to the store about bought Azo cranberry and Azo maximum strength urinary pain relief. And for the heck of it, after a shower, I inserted some of the yeast infection cream. The burn was unbearable. After 10 minutes I rushed back into the shower and washed it out. While it feels better now, I t still burns a little. I am also having a lot of thin-ish white discharge. What is wrong with me? I am a college student and I don't have insurance or a lot of money. I also recently started taking birth control through the free family planning program. Please help.

Answer
It sounds as if you have a yeast infection based on the symptoms you are experiencing. The pain from the cream could likely be due to a allergic reaction which is possible. However since you are low on funds I would recommend the following treatment:
To properly treat this infection you need to bring a change to your lifestyle by eating and exercising/ doing the following:
1. Choose cotton underwear and do not wear tight trousers (Moulds love warm, dark spaces with limited airflow).
2. Avoid damp environments where airborne moulds are ever-present.
3. Exercise everyday to relieve stress. Aerobic exercise is especially useful in treating candida as Candida and other fungi do not thrive in a high-oxygen environment. Also, fresh air and regular exercise have a positive effect on immunity.
4. Avoid refined carbohydrates as they are known to have a depressant effect on the immune system.
5. Get organic coconut oil which cost about $5-7 dollars from a health food store and take 2 tablespoons of it every morning. It will help give relief from the inflammation caused by yeast (candida), externally and internally to your body.
6. Get apple cider vinegar RAW. I would recommend the one from a company called Bragg's which is about $6 dollars. Take 2 tablespoons of it the moment you wake up from bed and before you go to sleep. It helps encourage the growth of healthy bacteria, which in turn minimizes the overgrowth of candida and balances your body's pH level.
7. Eat lots of leafy Green Veg's every time you are hungry.
8. Get probiotics supplement which cost about 20-30 dollars. Use as directed 10. AVOID ALL
