Answer
I don't think you're to young for a sew in weave, a sew in has many positives that you can tell your mother. It helps with the growth of your hair so that one day you don't have to wear weaves and just wear your natural hair!
BUT, if that doesn't work.. I have several tips that might help you with growing your hair:
you have to remember that products don't just grow your hair, but its the proper care of your hair that truly helps with the growth of your hair!
-Drink water, yes water helped a lot with my growth. Keeping yourself and your hair hydrated is very important. Try to maintain a healthy diet filled with proteins!
-Biotin pills helps with the growth and strength of your hair, It also benefits your skin and nails! You can find them anywhere like a walmart, GNC, or Walgreen's.
-For shampoo and conditioner, You should try Sulfate-FREE shampoo & conditioner, L'Oreal has a line. But my favorite has to be the Organix line, which you can find anywhere. Ive noticed using the Organix products left my hair feeling very moisturized and strong/ healthy. During my washing process, I shampoo two times, cleansing the hair. Then I condition my hair, leaving it on for at least 5 mins, putting nutrients back into my hair. Then wash it out with cool water. Then once a month, I deep condition my hair, leaving it on for at least 45 mins up to an hour. Then I wash it out with cool water. After, while my hair is wet, I just apply my oils or my Organix serum (quarter size amount, not a lot). Then with a wide tooth versus a paddle brush (breaks off hair) , I comb my hair down and let it air dry versus the harsh & damaging heat from the blow dryer.
-I get trims ever 2-3 months depending on my split ends.
-AVOID HEAT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. be creative with styling incorporate braids, do the high bun, Use flexi rods or rollers to get curls, etc
-Natural oils that have helped with the growth and strength of my hair is Extra Virgin Coconut oil and Olive oil. I apply this to my scalp and massage it in for at least 5 minutes. I do this every 1-2 days.
-BE CONSISTENT!
-REMEBER, anything that has mineral oil or petroleum in their product is a huuuge nono.

What can make your hair grow faster?
Starkid275
So I've asked this question before but I really need more solid answers! My hair is curly so it shrinks up by like 30% of it's actual length. Hair extensions are not really an option because I think they are pretty stupid and expensive. I've heard of olive oil helping and brushing it a lot works. I've also heard of keeping it in a bun for a long time working but I don't know of anything that will really help me.
