You know those clear capsules with fish oil in them, is it okay to give on to my dog? She is a blue heeler/pit bull mix, thanks for y'all's answers
Reason I'm wondering is because they are good for humans and I want to do anything to extend my dogs life by a few years, she's my only friend and I don't wanna lose her
I can't have coconut I'm allergic but I can give some to my dog to extend her life
Answer
Yes, but even better and safer, you can give your dog Coconut Oil. Start out by giving your dog 1/4 teaspoon of Coconut oil for a week. Then move up to 1/2 teaspoon for a week and so on until you are at 1 teaspoon. Don't go higher than that. It wont harm your dog if you do but it is unnecessary and can cause diarrhea. Not only is Coconut Oil good for their heart, it's fantastic for their coat and skin. It has antibiotic and antiviral qualities to it which keep your dogs digestive system healthy. You can cook with it yourself. It's the healthiest oil. My dog wasn't sure about it at first. I put a tiny bit on my finger and stuck it in his mouth and then a few seconds later, he licked the spoon clean. He now licks it off of the spoon each day. You can also mix it in with your dogs food if she wont lick it off the spoon. The 1 teaspoon a day is for any size dog. If you've never used it before, it's kind of weird. It looks like a pure white solid in the jar, but when it touches the skin or mouth, it becomes a liquid. Because of the antibacterial and antiviral qualities, you can even use it for a safe topical on a wound and it wont harm your dog if she licks it off. My dog is now 15.

what oils are good for dogs in homemade soap?
Rayne Himu
i'm starting to make homemade soap, and me and my husband have a puppy. i saw an unscented base for dog shampoo, and i know olive oil is good for humans, as are some other oils, but what oils are good for dogs in their shampoos?
Answer
Coconut oil, and I'm not kidding. I'm really not into the whole *healthy and natural* thing when it comes to myself or my dogs, but I've been using this stuff for a LOT of different things the last few months, and it's really good stuff. Do a Google search and you'll find out more about it and it's uses. Honestly, you can use it to cook with, use it on your skin and hair, and even put it in your dog's food a couple of times per week. This stuff is awesome!
